| 2000 | Registered Perl Developer I got certified by CPAN (Comprehensive Perl Archive Network) and become Registered Perl Developer. Perl is a short form for Practice Export and Report Language, which is a programming language for writing online applications. Registered Perl Developer has the responsibility to optimize the language itself and write the module for the language to easy for other users programming. |
| 1997-now | Founder, CTO, Webmaster and Vice President China Linux Association China Linux Association is the first legally registered non-governmental Linux association in China; it was originally Shanghai Linux Users Group. In the past 6 years, I am keeping the design of it’s website and did several times major changing of the whole web system. I designed and manage the Intranet (though Internet) system for the members, led the team did Mandrake and famous Slashdot Chineselization. China Linux Association and I got the award from Shanghai Science Association which is the government management office of all the non-governmental associations. Shanghai Linux Association also has good relationship with Shanghai Municipal Government and work together for the Shanghai informazation project. I also do speech for annual conference, which has two thousands participants. |
| 1997-now | Interpreter and maintenance for Chinese HTML HTML (Hyper-text markup language) is the core of webpage. I joined team at the period which HTML 3.0 is upgrading to beta 4.0. I set the Chinese standard for HTML 4.0 and interpreted the entire HTML Specification 4.0 into Chinese. HTML 4.0 is the highest version and won’t be any higher version of it. |
| 1996-1998 | System Administrator, Webmaster and Vice President Shanghai Internet Association Shanghai Internet Association is a famous non-governmental hobbies association, which had been reported by CCTV, SHTV, OTV and Jiefang News, Wenhui News. I set the whole system and designed the whole website. |
| 1996-1998 | System Administrator Shanghai Super Network and attached Internet Cafe Shanghai Super Network is the first ISP in China, which is invested by the son of Deng Xiao Ping. I was invited to be their system administrator at the end of 1996 and accepted the offer at the February of 1997. I designed a charge system for them. The system can charge the end users either by time or the capacity. In the period, my colleagues and I also introduced IP phone and IP fax into China. |
| 1996-1998 | CTO of Shanghai L’Enfant Co., Ltd. As the CTO of Shanghai L’Enfant Co., Ltd., I managed a team of programming and installation. We use Visual Basic, Access and SQL system, developed a POS (post-of-sale) system. The POS system had been sold to a lot of domestic restaurant and it was still being used in the famous Tian Tian Wang Sichuan Hot Pot franchise restaurants. Our team also set up the LAN for Shanghai Fuhwa Toy Co., Ltd. which is a toys manufacture. We designed the ERP system for this company, the system took the control of enterprise resources from the material purchasing until the real product go through the custom. |
| 1994-1996 | System Administrator, Art Designer Shanghai Feilo Co., Ltd. Shanghai Feilo Co., Ltd. (short for Shanghai Feilo) is a state owned company which is also the first company listed in the Shanghai Stock Exchange in new China. Shanghai Feilo is the oldest and most famous acoustic and loudspeaker manufacture. I was the Art Designer for the first two years when I was there; I designed packages for 10 different brands of loudspeakers. 1996, I introduced computer based design to Shanghai Feilo and become the system administrator. I worked as system administrator for more two years, set up the LAN for design department and finance department. |
